Not So North Texas - Lake Austin's Perfect Paradise on Water's Edge

  1. This was originally on a 10.6 acre lot. What happened to the 6.6 acres that have gone missing in the new listing? Is another home coming up beside this one? That would make this significantly less attractive IMHO.

  2. Wow, didn't hear it used to be a 10+ acre lot. That would have been very attractive. But yes, the listing advises it's on 4 acres. I hope a new home isn't going up next door - what a way to disturb a peaceful lake home! Thanks for your comment!

  3. I hope it doesn't look like I'm pressing a point - that is not my intention at all. I just found the property website and it still talks about a 10 acre property: http://www.1201selmahughesparkroad.com/ I do think that the sellers have divided the lot and plan to build a second home on the property which would make the current pictures as they are in the listing somewhat misleading, I think.

    I do hope that someone who can afford it buys the entire 10.6 acre property up. Right now is a bad time to sell any property in this country, but if the seller holds on, I think he / she will get a very good price. Homes of this size and class are rare anywhere in the world. I couldn't imagine selling a home like this one - if I could afford it. :)

  4. Just noticed a discrepancy - the table on the left of the page reads 4 acres but the words talk about 10. The original lot has definitely been divided:
